Exciting Changes Happening Now!

What’s Happening

On September 30, 2016, The Housand Family sold Central True Value to Marvin’s Building Materials, a recognized brand throughout the Southeast. Serving the Moncks Corner community is very important to the Housand Family, and they were diligent in finding a good fit for the acquisition and continuation of their business in South Carolina. The Housand Family worked very closely with Marvin’s to make this deal as smooth and comfortable as possible for the Central True Value customers.

What’s Changing

As Central True Value transitions to a Marvin’s store, there will be a few changes. Most notably, we’ll be adding a larger assortment in many key departments such as:

Grilling, Fasteners, Paint Sundries, Tools and Sink & Toilet Repair

We’ll also begin stocking many leading national brands such as:

Valspar®, Irwin®, Stanley®, Shopvac®, Cabot®, HealthZenith® and Big Green Egg®

What’s Not Changing

We’re still your local hometown hardware store. The Marvin’s brand is built around supporting the local community and that’s what we plan to do in Moncks Corner. Central True Value has been supporting the Moncks Corner community for over 65 years. When you come to the store, you can expect to see the same great employees displaying the same great service our loyal customers have come to know and expect.

What to Expect

As Central True Value becomes Marvin’s, keep an eye out for our changing signs, uniforms, and advertisements. We’re working to make the transition as easy as possible.
